Man Utd is alert and hopeful to secure a key star player as a powerful addition due to conflicts at his current club, with an extra helping factor included.
On 13 November 2025 GMT+7, Bild, a leading German media outlet, reported that Manchester United is preparing to move for Karim Adeyemi, the fast striker from Borussia Dortmund, a prominent Bundesliga team, to compete in the English Premier League.
Karim Adeyemi, 23, is facing issues both on and off the pitch, having neither scored nor assisted since 1 October, when he provided an assist in the UEFA Champions League group stage second match as Dortmund defeated Athletic Bilbao 4-1.
Furthermore, the relationship between Karim Adeyemi and Dortmund coach Niko Kovac has started to deteriorate. On 25 October, Adeyemi threw a water bottle at the bench after being substituted in the Bundesliga match where Dortmund beat Cologne 1-0.
Following that, Niko Kovac criticized Adeyemi’s behavior during media interviews. In the most recent match, a 1-1 draw against Hamburg, Kovac showed clear frustration at Adeyemi’s in-game decisions and substituted him off in the 66th minute.
Most recently, Bild reported that Dortmund is discussing Karim Adeyemi’s future after the player's agent requested a contract extension beyond the original expiry in 2027, including a £70 million release clause—an unusual condition not typically included in Borussia Dortmund contracts.
