A roast duck restaurant has renamed its menu after Erling Haaland, Manchester City's striker, stopped by to eat and then scored in the match where they crushed Liverpool.
Happy Season, a restaurant in Manchester's Chinatown and a supporter of the "Sky Blues" Manchester City, named its roast duck menu "Haaland Special" after the City striker dined there before the game in which they defeated the "Reds" Liverpool 3-0.
Before the match, Haaland visited the popular restaurant and ordered roast duck, red pork, and crispy pork, then went on to score one goal that helped Manchester City secure an important 3 points and rise to second place in the Premier League.
Manchester City's victory brought great joy to the restaurant, which then posted a photo with Haaland on their official Instagram account, sharing their impressive story and officially naming the dish he ordered the "Haaland Special."
“As Manchester City fans, we were amazed the moment he walked in. That day, Haaland ordered roast duck, red pork, and crispy pork,”
“Actually, this is a classic dish the restaurant has offered for over 40 years, consisting of roast duck, red pork, crispy pork, and steamed rice.”
“It might sound funny, but from now on, if you order the ‘Haaland Special,’ you'll get exactly what Haaland ordered. Come and try it!”
Haaland is scheduled to help the Norway national team host Estonia in the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifying Group I match on 13 Nov 2023 GMT+7.
