Director Tum and Three Top Thai Boxers Visit and Teach Skills at Marseille Boxing Camp (Video)

Theera Watthana Silpa-acha, Director of the Sports Promotion and Development Division, together with three top Thai boxers, visited and shared skills at the Sun Club Boxing Camp in Marseille, France.

The Muaythai Masterclass 2025 project, organized by the Subcommittee for Driving the Sports Industry under the Office of Creative Culture Promotion (THACCA), together with the Boxing Sports Committee, Sports Authority of Thailand (SAT), traveled to Marseille, France.

Recently, Mr. Theera Watthana Silpa-acha, Director of the Sports Promotion and Development Division at the Sports Authority of Thailand, along with his team and three top Thai boxers—Saenchai P.K. Saenchai Muaythai Gym, Yodsanaklai Fairtex, and Namsaknoi Yutthakarnkarn—visited the Sun Club Boxing Camp in Marseille. They were warmly welcomed by Mr. Guillaume Viouloux, owner of Sun Club, Mr. Christian Robert, President of Southeast France Martial Arts Sports, as well as camp executives, coaches, and athletes.

They then watched the training camp sessions of nearly 30 French youths interested in Muay Thai and eager to learn Thailand's national martial art. The atmosphere was lively and enthusiastic, with close instruction from these famous Thai boxers. This boxing camp attracts over 800 visitors monthly, some of whom show promise and advance to represent France in national competitions.

Mr. Theera Watthana Silpa-acha, Director of the Sports Promotion and Development Division, said, "I am very pleased to visit here for the first time. I admire the high standards of this camp, which offers both Muay Thai and many other martial arts. Many French youths are keen to learn, and I hope that in the future they will train in Thailand's boxing camps, which will also help promote Thailand's economy. Furthermore, this supports the Muay Thai For All program, operated this year by the Boxing Sports Committee of the Sports Authority of Thailand, involving both Thai and foreign youths. I hope that these French youths will participate in the Muay Thai For All program here in Thailand."

The Muay Thai For All program, initiated by the Boxing Sports Committee, SAT, began its pilot year in fiscal 2025 over an 8-month period from March to September. The program promotes training with licensed Thai boxing instructors from the Sports Authority of Thailand, teaching interested youths and the public for one month, two hours daily.

Afterward, about 10 promising youths will be selected to become athletes under the Muaythai First Fight project. The 500 boxing camps in the program’s network will train and develop these youths' skills and enter them into competitions supported and overseen by the Sports Authority of Thailand. Selected athletes will compete in these events, further promoting new young talent to advance the Muay Thai community.
