On 10 Nov 2025, Thai soldiers stepped on a landmine at Huai Tamariea for the 7th time in 5 months, injuring 2 soldiers; Staff Sergeant lost his right foot.

Thai soldiers have stepped on landmines along the Thai-Cambodian border seven times over the past five months (July–November), resulting in a total of seven leg amputations and numerous injuries. Most recently, on 10 November 2025 at about 10:00 a.m., the Thai Army's Fast Current Facebook page reported a landmine incident in the Second Army Area (Huai Tamariea), near Phra Wihan Mountain in Kantharalak District, Sisaket Province.

Later reports indicated that at 9:30 a.m., the Army received information from the Suranaree Forces that two personnel were injured as follows:

1. Staff Sergeant Therdsak Samakhom suffered amputation of his right ankle.

2. Private Wachira Thantana experienced chest tightness due to the blast impact.

They have been airlifted for treatment at Sunpasitthiprasong Hospital. Further details will be reported as they become available.

This is the first landmine incident in two months, the last having occurred on 27 August 2025. Thai and Cambodian authorities have held multiple border committee meetings and negotiations. On 27 October, Thai Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul and Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet signed a Joint Declaration toward peace, witnessed by U.S. President Donald Trump and Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim.
