Co-Payment Plus Phase 2: Confirm Identity on Pao Tang App to Receive 4,000 Baht

The "Co-Payment Plus Phase 2" program, aimed at those who missed registering for the first phase, is preparing for identity confirmation via the "Pao Tang" app to receive 4,000 baht.

Regarding the "Co-Payment Plus" program, the government provides financial support to qualified citizens by covering half the cost. The spending began on 29 Oct 2025, as previously reported.

From 29 Oct to 17 Nov 2025 at 3:00 p.m., spending has reached 42.96 billion baht, divided between 21.188 billion baht from the government and 21.772 billion baht from citizens. There are 940,700 participating merchants, with 883,104 eligible citizens having used their full entitlement. Citizens must use their benefits by 31 Dec 2025; unused funds will be forfeited as government support ends immediately thereafter.

Concerning additional funding for Co-Payment Plus Phase 2, the Ministry of Finance is reviewing details, including how much each person will receive, considering funding sources since no prior budget allocation was made. Initially, it is expected that up to 4,000 baht per person will be added, distributed proportionally between taxpayers and non-taxpayers, as the government aims to encourage citizens into the tax system for easier future welfare support. Those who received support in the first phase will also be eligible, but exact conditions are yet to be finalized.

Registration steps for Co-Payment Plus:

1. Download the "Pao Tang" app and activate the G Wallet service.

2. Register for benefits from 20 Oct to 26 Oct 2025, between 6:00 a.m. and 10:00 p.m.

3. Those who participated in Co-Payment Phase 5 (2022) can check registration results via the "Pao Tang" app.

4. Those who did not participate in Co-Payment Phase 5 (2022) can check registration results via SMS and the "Pao Tang" app.

5. Eligible recipients should open the "Pao Tang" app and tap the Co-Payment Plus banner to start spending from 29 Oct to 31 Dec 2025, between 6:00 a.m. and 11:00 p.m.

Eligibility criteria for registration:

• Must be a Thai national.
• Be at least 16 years old at the time of registration.
• Possess a national ID card.
• Not hold a state welfare card according to the Ministry of Finance database as of 1 Oct 2025.
• Must not have been suspended or required to return funds from state projects including Co-Payment Phases 1 to 5.

Registration method on the "Pao Tang" app for first-time users includes these steps:

1. Download and install the "Pao Tang" app.
2. Open the "Pao Tang" app.
3. During registration, turn off Wi-Fi.
4. Agree and confirm acceptance of the KYC Consent for personal data management.
5. Consent to the app verifying the phone number.
6. Start by entering your ID card number and mobile phone number.
7. Wait for and enter the OTP code sent to the registered mobile number.
8. Enter personal details or use the ThaiD app to autofill personal information.
9. Prepare to scan your face by moving it within the circle as instructed.
10. Set and confirm a PIN code.
11. Accept the terms and conditions for using the "Pao Tang" app.
12. Enter your PIN again to access the app.
13. Consent to personal data management under PDPA.
14. Access the main screen of the "Pao Tang" app.
15. Registration on the "Pao Tang" app is complete.
