Commander Krab Occupied with Extended Duties, Unable to Brief Military Committee on Ceasefire Order

Prime Minister Anutin chaired the National Security Council meeting to address border issues after Thai soldiers stepped on landmines at Huai Tamaria, Si Sa Ket province, revealing the Council's resolution to suspend the Thailand-Cambodia peace declaration.

On 11 Nov 2025 GMT+7, Anutin Charnvirakul, Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, presided over the 14/2568 National Security Council meeting in the Vichitrawatkan room, 3rd floor, National Security Council office, Government House. The meeting was convened urgently following two Thai soldiers injured by landmines at Huai Tamaria, Kantharalak district, Si Sa Ket, during patrol duties. The Council reviewed the peace declaration aimed at achieving border peace between Thailand and Cambodia to determine Thailand's approach.

The meeting was also expected to discuss the cancellation of work permit renewals for Cambodian workers. Representatives from security agencies participated continuously in the morning, including the Ministry of Defense, Ministry of Interior, National Security Council, Ministry of Justice, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and the Ministry of Digital Economy and Society.

Chaiyanok Chidchob, Minister of Digital Economy and Society, commented on the National Security Council meeting, saying he awaited the Prime Minister but personally believed that "in bad, there is good; in good, there is bad," expressing confidence that good news would emerge and that the Prime Minister would not disappoint the public.

At 10:55 a.m., the Prime Minister emerged after the National Security Council meeting. Reporters asked if any retaliatory measures would be taken. The Prime Minister said he needed to attend the Cabinet meeting first and would officially announce everything afterward. When asked if the Thailand-Cambodia peace declaration would be canceled, he simply said "suspended." When pressed about the suspension's timeframe, Anutin declined to answer and quickly proceeded to the Cabinet meeting at Government Complex 1.
