A 70-year-old man arranged group sex with partners and was about to awaken him to continue making love but was found dead naked on a sofa, covered in ants. Police inspected the scene and were stunned after reviewing the home's CCTV footage, which showed drug use at times. The body was sent for an autopsy to determine the cause of death.
At 22:28 on 16 Nov 2025 GMT+7, Police Lieutenant Colonel Ekawit Thongthum, an investigator at Mueang Lopburi Police Station, received a report of an unidentified death inside a house in Kok Lam Phan Subdistrict, Mueang District. He, along with the detective team, forensic police of Lopburi, doctors from Phra Narai Maharaj Hospital, and Por Teck Tung Foundation volunteers, went to investigate.
At the scene inside the house, the body of Mr. Athippat, 70, from Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya Province, was found dead naked on a sofa. Initially, there were no signs of struggle or assault, but ants were crawling all over the body, and he had ant bites on his neck with bleeding wounds. A preliminary examination estimated he had been dead for at least 3-4 hours.
Mr. Sombat, 52, the homeowner who reported to the police, claimed he had invited the deceased to have sexual relations. After finishing, he called Mr. Suwichak, 38, to join for group sex. After the activity, Sombat and Suwichak went to shower, then called out to Athippat but could not wake him. They found him dead and notified the police to investigate.
On 17 Nov 2025 GMT+7, Police Colonel Jarin Lamluek, Chief of Mueang Lopburi Police Station, revealed that initially, Mr. Sombat and Mr. Suwichak were charged with drug use and possession of ice drugs, a standard case. They denied involvement in Athippat's death. The authorities are awaiting the autopsy results from the forensic institute; if any connection is found, further charges will be considered.
