Commotion as a More Than 3-Meter-Long Python Appears on a Car Roof, Believed to Bring Good Luck

A commotion arose when a large python appeared on a car roof before slithering to hide under the car's wheel. Rescue workers eventually caught it, discovering the snake was over 3 meters long. The car owner did not forget to show the "license plate" believing it would bring good luck.

Reporters stated that at 9:00 p.m. on 3 November, rescue workers from Sawang Bueng Sam Phan Thammasat were alerted by locals to capture a large python that had climbed onto the roof of a white Honda sedan with license plate กน 9495 Phetchabun, parked at a house in Village No. 1, Bueng Sam Phan Subdistrict, Bueng Sam Phan District, Phetchabun Province. The team quickly prepared snake-catching equipment and rushed to assist.

Upon arrival, the python was found coiled under the car's body. After some searching, they caught the snake by looping a noose over its head and gradually pulling out its tail. They then placed the python in a sack and released it back into nature far from residential areas.

When asked, Mr. Santhat Disakul, 42, a rescue worker, said after receiving the call, the team hurried to help. Initially, they couldn't find the snake because it hid under the car. Once found, they carefully pulled it out. It took considerable time because the python was very large—he had never encountered one so big before as a rescue worker. It weighed about 40-50 kilograms and measured approximately 3 meters in length.

The car owner, Mr. Reetawat Pinprayoon, said the python probably hitched a ride from Phichit Province because his mother drove the car there to visit relatives, stayed overnight, and parked it near a relative's house surrounded by forest where many snakes live. The snake likely crawled under the plastic beneath the car and came along for the ride.

At around 9 p.m. the previous night, the snake probably emerged and slithered across two pickup trucks parked nearby before ultimately returning to the same sedan it first left. Interestingly, all three vehicles have the number 95 in their license plates. The car the python entered has the plate 9495. Everyone who saw this believes the snake's appearance will surely bring good luck in the upcoming lottery draw.
