Borderless*

Continuing his appearances on the global stage abroad, Police Colonel Phanuphat Kittiphan, Superintendent 1 of the Technology Crime Suppression Division, was honored as a speaker at INTERPOL’s 2nd Asia & South Pacific Working Group on Cybercrime conference held from 8-10 July 2025 in Hanoi, Vietnam.

Previously, he spoke at an international police forum in Lyon, France, where he gained recognition from the global policing community.

This time, over 70 participants from 25 countries, international organizations, and the private sector attended.

The young investigator from the Central Investigation Bureau had the opportunity to present a case study on the successful arrest of the notorious cyber hacker known as "0mid16B."

This success resulted from intelligence sharing and investigative cooperation between Thailand’s Central Investigation Bureau (CIB), the Singapore Police Force (SPF), and the global cybersecurity firm Group-IB.

It reflects the progress of Thai police in conducting investigations and coordinating international cooperation to reach offenders on a global scale.

Although the suspect attempted to conceal himself using encrypted systems and anonymous communication apps, through investigative techniques and strong collaboration,

they were able to successfully end this cybercriminal's operations.

This cooperation underscores that "cyber threats have no borders."

Prevention and suppression must also be borderless.
