A fortunate middle-aged woman "Won 30 million baht lottery" Brought 3 million baht cash to help build "Phra Upakut" at Wihan Sian Mantara Siam as promised, sharing the origin of the "lucky numbers" that brought a big fortune
On 5 Nov 2025 GMT+7, reporters reported that at Wihan Sian Mantara Siam on Soi Wat Bo Thong, Ku Kwang Subdistrict, Lat Lum Kaeo District, Pathum Thani Province, Mrs. Siriwan Kampha, 68, from Phetchaburi Province, a self-employed businesswoman, along with her family, brought 3 million baht in cash to donate to Ajarn Khaek Ruesoh, also known as Ajarn Khaek Mantara Siam, to help build the shrine.
She also brought a gold heart-shaped pendant to be cast into the statue of Phra Upakut standing on a turtle’s back holding a bowl, after her luck led her to win the first prize lottery on 1 Nov 2025 GMT+7, ticket number 345898, five tickets totaling 30 million baht. She also won the last three digits lottery number 690 with three tickets totaling 12,000 baht, making her total winnings 30,012,000 baht.
Mrs. Siriwan Kampha, the lucky woman, said happily that on 20 Oct, she and her family attended a candle-lighting meditation event for the vegetarian festival at Wihan Sian Mantara Siam and met Ajarn Khaek Ruesoh. During their conversation, Ajarn Khaek asked what she wished for, and she replied she wanted to win the first prize lottery.
Then Ajarn Khaek told her to buy lottery number 898, suggesting she buy more than usual — five tickets. She jokingly promised to give half of her winnings to Ajarn Khaek if she won, but he declined half, saying just to come help build the shrine and the Phra Upakut statue would be enough.
After returning home, she asked her daughter to buy the suggested number via the Paotang app and found five tickets still available for number 898, which they purchased, along with three tickets of last three digits 690. She did not know she had won until her daughter informed her after the draw. She was so overwhelmed with joy she could hardly act. After cashing the prize at the lottery office, she and her family brought 3 million baht in cash to donate to Ajarn Khaek for the merit of building Phra Upakut.
Ajarn Khaek Ruesoh (Ajarn Khaek Mantara Siam) said he met Mrs. Siriwan's family during the candle-lighting ceremony for the vegetarian festival and talked with her. He noticed her facial features looked auspicious and predicted luck because he saw an image of Phra Upakut holding a bowl behind the family. He also saw Mrs. Siriwan put two bananas and sugar candy into the bowl.
At that moment, he saw numbers at the bottom of the bowl — 898, 988, and 889 — and told her the number 898. He considered this a personal belief and shared the number with Mrs. Siriwan, thinking it was a result of her good merit and sincere intention to help cast the Phra Upakut statue by donating a small gold heart pendant, which, despite its size, is pure and offered with goodwill. This merit then brought her the great fortune.
