Supacha Saeki, Designer of Brand saeki, Promotes Thai Fabrics in New York Fashion Scene

One of the new generation pursuing her dream. Supacha Saeki. A Thai-Japanese woman gaining work experience in New York while seeking opportunities to build her own fashion brand by introducing Thai fabrics to a wider foreign audience.

Ms. Noon Supacha Saeki is a talented young woman holding a bachelor's degree in Fashion Design from Bunka Fashion College in Japan and continuing her master's studies atLIM College in New York. She studied Fashion Merchandising and Retail Management. After graduation, she worked in New York in Production Management for a local New York brand. She shared that after graduating, she has been working for five years. Her production duties include a wide range of responsibilities, such as communicating with designers and marketing teams, sourcing products, and dealing with factories, giving her diverse and enjoyable work experience.

“The work is enjoyable because my responsibilities go beyond just one area. Although I focus on production, I also assist designers with design aspects. For example, if a design is impractical to produce, we must modify it and suggest ideas that align well with our brand before finalizing the product with the factory. We also discuss pricing with Sales, Marketing, and Branding teams. It’s a collaborative process across multiple departments. While working, I started thinking about launching my own fashion brand since I love design and have some industry knowledge. I recently had the chance to debut my brand SAEKI for the first time in Thailand, showcasing at the Thai Fabric Jewelry Night event. You can see my work on Instagram: saekiofficial.”

Ms. Noon explained that this project turned a long-held vision into reality in just a few months.

“I launched the fashion show and created the brand within three months—a very short timeframe. It was intense and required a lot of dedication, but I felt proud and satisfied that everything came out as hoped. All the pieces in this collection use Thai fabrics. The brand’s positioning is focused on Thai textiles—I want to showcase Thai fabrics, bring Thai textiles to New York, and increase awareness of Thai silk. I see great potential in the New York market. I would like to present this collection there. My work experience has helped me understand the New York fashion business, which I can use to my advantage.”

She made a beautiful and impressive start, driven by her strong determination. Ms. Noon described her working style: “Once I start working, it’s hard for me to stop. When I focus on work, I’m very serious about it. I want the results to be the best and most perfect possible. During leisure or casual conversations, I’m a different person, but when working, I concentrate solely on the task and dedicate myself fully. When I work, I give more than 100 percent because if I stop or lose focus, sometimes the ideas disappear. So, I really have to focus.”...This is the dedication of this talented woman.
