Kaeng Krachan in Phetchaburi is hosting a major year-end event with a camping theme, inviting visitors to sample signature dishes from the dam and offering a chance to view the sea of mist, limited to 10 people per day.
Anyone planning a trip in early December should mark Kaeng Krachan District, Phetchaburi, on their map, as the 20th Kaeng Krachan Fish Festival will return grandly to welcome the cold breeze. The event takes place from 5 to 14 December 2025 at the Kaeng Krachan District Office.
A highlight this year is a special activity organized by the Tourism Authority of Thailand's Phetchaburi office for tourists staying overnight in Kaeng Krachan and attending the festival. By registering at the tourism booth inside the event, visitors can win the chance to view the Panern Thung sea of mist, take nature walks, watch birds, and visit Ban Krang Camp, a famous butterfly watching site, all free of charge. This opportunity is limited to just 10 people per day.
This year’s main event is themed around camping and nature tourism, reflecting a new image for Kaeng Krachan. Interesting activity areas include a food court gathering top fish dishes made from quality freshwater from Kaeng Krachan Dam, along with local dishes from various communities.
