Samsung Targets 35 Million Sales for Galaxy S26 Series, Highlights AI Features

Samsung has big plans for the Galaxy S26 Series. It projects sales of 35 million units, emphasizing Galaxy AI as the key selling point in its marketing.

According to a report by Maeil Business News, a South Korean media outlet, Samsung has set its 2026 smartphone business sales target at 240 million units. Within this, the flagship Galaxy S26 Series is expected to sell at least 35 to 36 million units globally, surpassing the sales forecast for the Galaxy S25 Series.

Samsung’s confidence largely stems from the AI features accompanying the Galaxy S26 Series, which are expected to boost consumer demand significantly.

It is now believed that the Galaxy S26 launch event will no longer take place in January but has been postponed to 25 February 2026. The product lineup will include three models: the standard Galaxy S26, Galaxy S26+, and Galaxy S26 Ultra. Notably, the Galaxy S26 Pro and Galaxy S26 Edge—slim models—have been dropped due to weak sales.

The Galaxy S26 Series is anticipated to use the Exynos 2600 chipset; however, key markets like the United States, China, and Japan will receive models powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 for Galaxy. Samsung has confirmed that these processors will fully support AI functionalities, although final details await official announcements.
