McDonalds Launches New Chapter with Yu-Gi-Oh and Hello Kitty Crossover in Happy Meal

McDonald's is creating excitement for children and the young at heart by combining characters from Hello Kitty with cards from the famous manga Yu-Gi-Oh as the newest toys in the Happy Meal set, starting a new crossover legend in Thailand on 12 April 2024 GMT+7.

McDonald's official Facebook fan page announced great news for Hello Kitty and Yu-Gi-Oh fans by revealing the special crossover Happy Meal release date of 12 April.

There are 10 types of toys that blend Yu-Gi-Oh and Hello Kitty characters, as follows:

• My Melody as Dark Magician Girl
• Tuxedosam as the God Obelisk, initially known as Kaiba Seto's god card
• Kuromi themed as Slifer the Sky Dragon, the Osiris Sky Dragon
• Chococat as The Winged Dragon of Ra
• Hello Kitty as Dark Magician, also known as the Dark Magician
• Cinnamoroll in the Blue-Eyes White Dragon costume
• Keroppi portrayed as Kuriboh, a key card of Yugi Muto, the story's protagonist
• Pompompurin dressed as Exodia the Forbidden One, the legendary sealed Exodia
• Pochacco as the Time Wizard
• Badtz-maru in the outfit of Red-Eyes Black Dragon, the rare card of Jounouchi Katsuya

The Happy Meal set featuring all 10 toy designs will be available in Thailand starting 12 April through 16 May 2024 GMT+7.

Although Happy Meals are children's meals, the toys featuring Yu-Gi-Oh manga characters—originally a series from 1996 and expanded into a card game in 1999—are likely to attract collectors among the young at heart, especially Gen Y.
