Yu Yu Hakusho, also known as คนเก่งฟ้าประทาน (Gifted Person from Heaven) has secured the top position in the foreign series category, garnering over 7.7 million views and making it a strong contender for a second season.
Netflix, the streaming service provider, recently revealed on its official website some interesting data. It showed that Yu Yu Hakusho, also called คนเก่งฟ้าประทาน (which is also known as คนเก่งทะลุโลก (Gifted Person Who Breaks Through Worlds) ), the live-action adaptation of the classic anime, has risen to become the number one non-English language series since its debut last Thursday, amassing 7.7 million views.
Additionally, Yu Yu Hakusho or คนเก่งฟ้าประทาน ranks within the top 10 movies and series by viewership in 76 countries, debuting at number 5 in the United States.
Given this outstanding performance, it is highly likely that Yu Yu Hakusho will continue with a second season, although Netflix has not yet officially announced it. Furthermore, the story of คนเก่งฟ้าประทาน still has ample material for Netflix and the production team to explore and develop further into a live-action series.
Yu Yu Hakusho is the creation of Yoshihiro Togashi, who is also known for another acclaimed work, Hunter x Hunter.
Recently, Netflix has been very successful in adapting popular manga into live-action series. The latest notable success is One Piece, the legendary manga by Eiichiro Oda.
