Launching the Major 2025 Academic Conference to Enhance Health Across All Ages

Bangkok Dusit Medical Services Public Company Limited (BDMS) organized its annual academic conference to drive Thai medical standards forward to international levels.,

This year’s conference was held under the central theme "Striving for Excellence in Health at Every Age: From Prevention to Precision Medicine" from 3 to 7 November 2025 at the BDMS Connect Center conference hall.

The first day, 3 November 2025, featured a key highlight: a special panel organized by BDMS Wellness Clinic titled “Advancing Preventive Healthcare Towards the Future of Life, Economy, and Society.” This forum emphasized the role of preventive health care as a crucial national driving force.

The discussion brought together thought leaders from various sectors to share insights on the modern health economy. For example, Professor Piyamitr Sritara, President of Mahidol University, spoke about "The Role of Universities in Driving the Thailand Wellness Hub," while Wanvalee Prasatthongosot from Bangkok Dusit Medical Services presented the “Sukhothai Model: Thai Wisdom to a Global Health Plate.”

Dr. Tanupol Virulhagararun, Chief Executive of BDMS Wellness Clinic, together with Thana Thiera-atchariya, introduced the concept of “Health Economy 5.0.” Meanwhile, Associate Professor Dr. Chadchart Sittipunt, Governor of Bangkok, gave a lecture titled “Wellness: The New Infrastructure of Bangkok.”

Additionally, panels covered diverse wellness dimensions, such as Warawit Siripak, founder of PAÑPURI, discussing “Aromatic Wellness,” and Sirium Phakdhi Damrongrit addressing “Inside-Out Aesthetic Wellness,” underscoring the importance of holistic health integrating body, mind, and inner beauty.

Beyond the first day's forums, the event featured academic lectures from experts both domestic and international, covering various fields—especially collaborations among bone and joint specialists within the BDMS network and the Institute of Sports Medicine and Exercise (BASEM). It also included shared approaches to managing metastatic colorectal cancer from Oregon Health & Science University (OHSU).

Another notable topic was medical artificial intelligence (AI) technology from the UK. Professor Jorge Cardoso of King’s College London presented on “The London AI Centre Ecosystem” and demonstrated AI applications in medical imaging like CT and MRI extending to digital pathology, with Siriraj Hospital’s medical team participating. This fosters academic collaboration and promotes cutting-edge medical technology in Thailand to meet global standards.
