Poo Priya Graces Loy Krathong Festival in Los Angeles as a Majestic Nang Noppamas

Loy Krathong is an important festival held on the full moon night of the 12th lunar month in the Thai calendar, to pay respects to the River Goddess and to dispel bad luck. People craft krathongs (floating offerings) to release into rivers and canals. This tradition dates back to the Sukhothai era, with legends crediting Nang Noppamas as the first to create lotus-shaped krathongs. Today, celebrations occur nationwide at various venues. In 2025, Loy Krathong falls on Wednesday, 5 November 2025 GMT+7, corresponding to the full moon night of the 12th lunar month in the Thai lunar calendar.

In the United States, the Thai community held a grand celebration to mark Loy Krathong at the Thai Temple in Los Angeles. Mrs. Pangpond Kongwut (Madame Pauline), the owner of the renowned Thai restaurant 'Luv2eat,' which has earned Michelin recognition for five consecutive years, along with her team including Nadia, JJ, and Matum, organized this spectacular event in collaboration with Amazing Thailand. Over 2,000 people gathered to celebrate at the Thai Temple in Los Angeles.

The event featured superstar actress Poo Priya Lundberg, stunning as the graceful Nang Noppamas, alongside Jack Titus, who holds the title of Mister World 2025, delivering dazzling performances on this candlelit night.
